I'm incredibly passionate about wildlife. It's the best teacher. I'm constantly studying them to capture their likeness on a canvas as they tell their own stories. The animals in this collection of acrylic paintings are more than just props to tell a story. They are a way to examine the struggle of life and the power of control.

When I think of what happens in the beginning, the origin story of all heroes, I think of what kind of hardship and chaos made them gallant and selfless. Only erosion can craft a harshed rock into softness, and only those who have seen darkness can appreciate the light. The animals shown in the paintings have transparent struggles that give them a complex sense of morality.

Struggles in life make you stronger. They make you wiser, more patient, more resilient. They shape your character and give you the tools to deal with life's struggles when they come knocking on your door.
